My favorite season..Fall. Finally, the Summer heat has left us and the cool crisp air has arrived! Bring on the caramel apples, bonfires, trick or treating, pumpkin patches, the leaves changing colors..and fall scents..my bath and body works oil warmers in pumpkin patch (my fave!), creamy pumpkin, apple crumble and kitchen spice! The only downside to Fall is that Winter is just around the corner (ICK!)..Fall seems so short - before you know it, it will be Christmas and that's a whole other story! But until then, I'm going to enjoy every moment of this season.
Willis' allergies are still going strong..he was allergic to the whole month of Aug and so far, all of Sept. Jake's parents are watching him while we transition into our new home and let me tell you, that week hes gone will be heaven! Love him dearly but hes not helping to the load of stress Ive been under lately. My little Squibby baby is doing fine on the other hand..he runs around the house going up and down the stairs and you would think it's a 50lb dog running around, not a 15lb cat!
Jake is still obsessed with his new career..he had training last week (which they have often) in an old empty school and got to shoot each other with bullets with paint in the tips..he got shot once, in the side. He loved it. We laughed at his 'hard day at work'...luckily they get these training days in between their actual hard days at work.
Me? I'm surviving by a thread...this house stuff has kicked my ass. The house is pretty much packed..were eating out of paper bowls, plastic cups, and plastic spoons. I'm already living out of a suitcase because I packed all my clothes. So if you see me in the same thing more than once in a week..I swear I washed it before wearing it again! On top of this nightmare we lived for 5 1/2 months going on 6 - somehow I'm still excited about the new home. Which I better be after all this crap! I'm excited about decorating, having a yard, watching the animals run all over the place, Jake not sharing his office space with our guest room (thank you Jesus!!)..and being able to entertain family and friends. Being in this small town home there isn't much room for people so I never wanted to have a get together..with no back yard to have a bonfire/cookout and nowhere for guests to sit except on each others laps it just wasn't my ideal Martha Stewart party scene HA! So hopefully when we move into the new place we can have a little house warming party..just have to figure out how to work it around Jake's new crazy schedule.
Just think, in THREEish weeks well be in our new home..feels weird saying weeks when for so long we've been saying months.
Happy Fall!
