Spring break is O-V-E-R
Well my break is over..back to a full week of school and work! booooo! Willis and i fed 'Faggy and Maggie' the geese and 'Biff and Bianca' the ducks today..were glad the snow melted fast..and im sure they are too!

Dreaming of a white...March!?
(disclaimer: im sure youve noticed i dont capitalize my Is or use apostrophes when using didn't..its because im lazy and youll be lucky if i capitalize my husbands name! I just dont feel the need to be proper on my blog..and its faster just to skip all the tricks and just type! So yes, i know how to actually use proper grammar, i just dont want to! - i know if my mom was reading this that is the first thing she would notice! ha)
Anyways...
I slept in till 8am this morning..that is like, UNHEARD OF! And when i came downstairs and looked out our patio doors..SNOW?! It rained and sleeted all night last nite but i really didnt think the snow they were calling for was actually going to happen. Well, it did! Luckily its not anywhere near as much as the weather people were saying we could possibly get but still, snow in March? I dream of nice spring days where you can wear flip flops with a hoodie and stroll around downtown Naperville..not so much this weekend! Ill get some pictures up when i take the dog out..hes still sacked out on the bed with dad.
Last night we went to my parents for a birthday party for Jake. We had to stop buy the chinese buffet place first for a mini birthday dinner (even though his birthday isnt until April 5!)..he managed to fill himself to the brim before heading over to my parents to eat cake! We had a really good time and it was nice just to get everyone together and visit. And the best part of the evening was my two angels, my gramma and grampa gave me the gift of a....PUPPY! Yes folks, i will be able to get a puppy now! The breeder lady still needs to give me an update on the 2 week old male she has and send me some pictures..hopefully today! So if everything goes my way..i will be bringing home a puppy in early May! AHHHHHH!! I cant wait!! If i get pictures of him today i will be sharing as soon as i can...im sooooo excited! The only 'person' i feel bad for in all this is my baby Squibby (my cat) i think he might be a little ticked off at me for giving someone else attention..im sure hell get over it once he finds out he has another pal to play with though...that and as long as he still knows he still has the spot on the bed next to me, nothing else matters!
UPDATE..ok my sister just posted pics of her 7 inches (ICK) of snow and heres my half inch and still growing snow pics..the snow is starting to pick up around here..hope it stops soon!~

duckies and geese...
Hes dreaming of getting a new puppy too...like his new 'army' collar we got him this past weekend? Jake and i took willy bean into a groomers to get his pads shaved and while we were waiting i was looking at collars and grabbed this army one..and then jake said 'hey look at this'...i turned around and he had the same one in his hand that was on a different wall...it was fate..had to get it! Me and Will just got in from a nice walk and went to the pond and fed our new friends...2 ducks and 2 geese! Jake and i decided to name them..so i named the ducks biff and bianca..and my husband..not me..named the geese..faggy and maggie (coming from a man who will be turning 27 on April 5th)! Anways...i will get pictures of our new friends next time we go out to fee them (i give them any left over bread..saltines..and today..cheese its!)
Well i am on spring break this week which means i still have homework..i just dont have to actually go to class..which helps i guess! Tomorrow im off to my sisters so she can dye my hair back to blonde..i cant wait for this mop on my head to be fixed!
Back to homework and cleaning..this house that never manages to stay clean for more than a few hours! I almost ran out to kohls today to get a new carpet shampooer since its on sale from 150 to 89..jake even said get it..but i got buyers remorse before even getting it and decided to skip it...i just want my puppy i cant afford...

I've been tagged to do 25 things about me...Yeah, this should be interesting, or not. We'll see.

1. i will one day work at the brookfield zoo...and now i want to work at an equine center till i get into a zoo.
2. i grew up around airplanes and pilots my whole life..i even lived at an airport.
3. my job requires me to be outgoing, friendly and agreeable. i fake it. a lot.
4. i am deathly afraid of throwing up..no really, deathly afraid. i think about it at least once a day, everyday. i really do need to get help for it. weird, i know.
5. i wash my hands constantly thanks to working in the medical field..and have come to realize that many people in the medical field dont wash their hands, which i find appalling. i even had a dr write on one of my evaluations at work.."compulsive hand washing?"..i found it very amusing.
6. my husband is my world, period...and he could probably beat you up.
7. i love to decorate my home (and buy things to decorate it with!)...its becoming an obsession.
8. i dislike any and all condiments on my food, ever...and i dont like to try new foods.
9. i am a left hander living in a right handed world.
10. i have a few odd ocds such as having my socks on just right..or having even numbers of things.
11. i worked at a horse ranch in high school and fell in love with horses..seriously the best job ive ever had.
12. i love my family and would do anything for them.
13. i eat lots of vitamin c.
14. i sing a lot, alone..and my cat always running to me when i do..its cute.
15. i have a secret power of knowing when people are bullshitting.
16. getting older frightens me to the core.
17. some of my favorite memories are of pretend painting animal faces on each others faces with my mom as we waited for my siblings to get out of school, and playing on my grandparents huge staircase in their old home..oh and playing 'i see the color..' at the dinner table. i had a great childhood.
18. i like animals more than i like people..and i say this almost every day.
19. i want to be part of jon and kate plus 8s family.
20. im convinced that the way the world works isnt the way it is supposed to.
21. i used to think you grew up, finished school, got married and had kids..now im not so sure on the kids part..im too scared...that and i would rather get another dog.
22. once an old lady at a nursing home i worked at said i looked like an angel..and a queen..ill never forget her...actually, ill never forget many of the people i took care of.
23. i love watching the food network channel, they always have something good on.
24. when I was a kid, I thought adults had everything figured out...now I know better.
25. i have to leave enough space on the bed for my cat to sleep by me.

HAPPY SPRING!!
my boys...my loves...
First off...im getting all As in my classes!!!!! This is like a really big deal for me..an A in microbio? An A in math?!!? AND an A in computer software?! I can hardly do math and im getting an A?! (and its an online class!) Im thinking im a little awesome at the moment if you havent noticed...now if i could only keep the As for the rest of the semester! And now, next week is spring break..even though i have a ton of stuff to do for my micro class, including writing a paper..so i dont really get a break but when do i ever?
Jake has his interview for romeoville police tonight after work so i hope it goes well..one step closer...so tonight were just taking it easy when he gets home..need to get dog/cat food and maybe go to a few other places..
I cant wait to sleep in tomorrow..till at least 7am!!
Oh yeah..first day of spring...loves it! And my mom/aunt/grams/gramps come back from their new orleans trip tomorrow which they have been there since last thursday!

Mom is always right...
Ok well one night i was talking to my mother about all my home ideas and mentioned that i hate those large plain mirrors above the bathroom sink that seems to be in every house and that i plan on ripping them out when we buy our home and replace them with nice mirrors. She had told me she found somewhere a quick fix to spruce up those large plain mirrors that was simple and best of all...cheap! All you do it get any molding you like and just velcro it on the mirror! (you could glue it too..but she had read someone just used velcro so it was easy to take off and clean..or even switch it up!) So i did a search and found some good before and after inspriation...i will definately be trying this...

I am so glad its friday!
I am home from my microbio class which i had a lab exam in...i had to do a gram stain and a motility stain..and i actually did them right! The rest of the exam consisted of an actual written test part and going around to microscopes and identifying bacteria and such..surprisingly i didnt think it was THAT bad..well see when i actually get the test back! Other than that i am still waiting to hear on the puppies! The breeder just emailed me about an hour ago and said none yet..but hopefully soon.
Oh and my OLDER sister turns 29 tomorrow..i just had my 26th on Jan 28th..and it was probably one of the worst birthdays ive ever had...so hopefully hers is better than mine!

guns and handcuffs and batons..oh my!
YAY Jake got his letter from dupage county today..finally! Now he has to go in and get fingerprinted and turn in his background check application..along with college transcript and birth certificate. Hopefully things start moving faster now..which is like the funniest thing to say because as we have learned...the police testing process is a joke..and takes fooorrreeeevveerrrrrrrrr! Well, one can only hope!

platinum or bronze?
Ok i have always had blonde hair..my WHOLE life....so i thought, for the second time (yes i did this once before..and obviously didnt learn from it) to dye my hair brown..or put lowlights in as they say. Well...im pretty sure im ment to be a blonde forever! Once before i had gone to a salon to have them add lowlights in..they did..it faded..they did it again..faded..so then they dyed my whole head..RED BROWN! I thought i was going to die..or should i say dye..when i saw it! Luckily my sister does hair and managed to get my blonde hair back...i swore i would never do it again!
Wellll...so a few weeks ago i had my sister, this time, put low lights in..they faded..so then i had her do it again..looked good but for some reason she decided to dye my roots blonde since they were growing out...uhm needless to say when i got home..i had orange roots and dirty dark blonde/brown hair. So i took it into my own hands...and ooohheeemmgeeeee what the f did i do!? I wont even go into the 2 toners i used, the color oops i used, the dye i used...so on and so on..i think i took like 7 showers in 2 days! So last night..i ran to target, fed up with my hair disaster and got a box of rich medium brown dye...HOLY DYE!! I have dark..i mean dark..brown hair...i look like a corpse with my fair skin and dark hair! I know it will fade...but then what?!! I still have to fix it and get it back to my blonde i want...this is my last...i mean LAST time i ever go brown!

Well here goes...
Alright...i really have no idea what im doing but since these 'blogs' seem to be the thing to do these days...i thought i would try it! I have become obsessed with reading blogs about home design and such (which i tried to link them on my page so you can see what im reading!) which is basically why im starting a blog..just to put all my home inspiration ideas/pictures/whatevers in one place..that and just making this my little life journal! I dont know how far i will get with this so please bear with me...
Ok to start this blog off...i have to talk about my latest desire..no its not what color i want my future kitchen to be or how im looking for skeleton keys for decorations (oh im sure ill be talking about those topics soon though) its about the puppy ive been begging my husband to let me get! Ive been contacting many bull terrier breeders around here and have found a lady whos dog should be giving birth to a new litter very soon...so if my husband lets me get one i will be sooo excited! Heres what they look like...
