It just wont stop!!  This pregnancy just keeps on moving...fast!!  I cant believe Im already 28 weeks.  Im swelling like a pig!  My whole lower half swells sooo bad..oh and my hands/fingers..its cute..not!  He now doesn't just kick..he rolls, flutters, karate chops and dances!   Very weird feeling!  I thought the small kicks were cute..the rolling and huge flutter feeling is just odd! 

Hospital bags are almost packed which I will be glad to not have to worry about soon, I really wanted it packed sooner than later just to get it out of the way.  I still need to meet with a pediatrician (have one in mind) and find a photographer for the 'newborn' shoot!  Baby boy's room is almost done decorated too.  I finally found the right piece of artwork for above his bed (for like ever poster/print!)..other than that I am just trying to survive working and trying to take care of this house while being pregnant!  

Cant believe Im in the third trimester!  Everyone says 'oh it will just slow down from here..the third trimester will take forever!'...I highly doubt it with how fast it has been so far.  I wish it would actually slow down!  Not that I really want to be huge and uncomfortable forever but I feel like Im missing it or something..like I cant fully enjoy it just because of how fast It has been going.  

Next weekend it my shower already!  Cant wait!  Also have my OB apt to check to see if the placenta has moved up or not (was diagnosed with partial placenta previa at my 21 weeks check up..not sure how long it has really been there though!)...if it doesnt move up I will have to be scheduled a csection which is kind of scary..but Im just going with the flow..thats all I can do!

The Story of Our First Home - Year One (more like year 1.5)..and life..

     Well Oct 2012 (the 14th?!) marked one year in our home..now were on what, almost a year and a half?!  It has been a slow process getting our home to feel like..our home.  Picking out paint isn't as easy as I thought, finding the right drapes is even worse (note why only two out of I think seven rooms have them!).  It also doesn't help that I have specific ideas on how I want each room to look so I'm just not settling on paint, furniture and decor.  Instead, I'm searching high and low for the 'right' piece/color/fabric/furniture...

     We have Jakes office and guest bath left to paint and were dragging our heals..I think winter blues is our excuse.  Maybe when nicer weather rolls around I'll be more enthusiastic about painting..till then, screw it.  I stillll need dining room chairs so I am hoping this summer I can find some!  There is a lot of home decor pieces I am still searching for which I think will be an on going process.

     Now the biggest change in the new home is changing our guest room into a...NURSERY!  Feb 28th 2013 (one month to the exact after my 30th Birthday) we found out that we will need a crib instead of a new headboard in that room!  We are ecstatic and beyond scared at the same time!  Today I am 12 weeks 2 days to be exact.  Time has gone by extremely fast since finding out..and luckily the first trimester has treated me very nice.  I consider myself very lucky for no major hiccups the past 12 weeks and heres hoping the rest  of my pregnancy is just as smooth!

     Spring is here finally and I am ready to start/finish a lot of projects that I would like done before baby is here.  But for now...its time to eat..again..anyone wanna bring me a doughnut!?

     ps..if my house was even semi put together (I blame pregnancy exhaustion!) I would post the 'in process' home photos..but for now..you get ultrasound pics!  They are much cuter anyways..

Well it sure has been awhile, that's what happens when your Husband quits/loses a job, you get sick and pretty much stay sick for a year, you have a new home to take care of, work..and all that fun stuff in between..so jeez where do I start...lets start with the outs, since those are probably the most fun!

OUT -

1. Antibiotics..I hate them..don't take them unless you are dying..they are bad and will destroy you, and by destroy I mean deeeessstttrrrooyyyyyyyy - funny thing is, I am on week 4 of antibiotics to help reverse the damage of previous ones..

2. People..ahh my favorite thing to hate..people are just...pieces of shit shall I say?  They will always let you down..my cat on the other hand, does not.

3. SUMMER - one of the worst summers ever..thank god it's GONE finally..bring on fall..skip winter though please!

4. Allergies..thanks to allergies we have a now (had to get refills on meds!) $200+ vet bill..and I have had a stuffed up nose and sneeze attacks since Aug...the wild things going on in this household I tell ya.

5.  Work..a given..

IN -

1. Pinterest and Etsy..I need an intervention!  I love everything, I want to buy everything, I want to do decorate everything, I just WANTTTTT!

2. Bath and body works home oils and candles..I LOVE all their fall scents!

3. Music..as always..soul therapy..listening to it right now.

4. Shopping sprees which my Husband and I have been on a kick lately..it's a lot more fun than cleaning.  After a year of living here we are getting our living room sofa delivered today!

5. Oct 14th marks ONE YEAR of living in our new home...I love it..all that stress and hard work was worth it.  I love having a home to call my very own, even if it does mean paying to fix that broken garage door, replacing a cracked in sink erator..and all that other fun stuff that comes with being a home owner.  It's mine..all mine!

6.I'm still breathing...

was looking through pictures and came across this one and laughed my ass off...this is what we did to keep from kill ourselves when we lived in Galesburg, the worst town in the world...haaaaaa gah look at that horrible decor, and the one drape? Ick!

so be crazy..do what you want to do, stay up late listening to music really loud even though you have to be up early for work, take risks..laugh really loud...tell the people you love that you love them, only surround yourself with people that actually matter to you, eat whatever you want, speak your mind...if you like it, buy it..moneys no good in heaven..dance in the rain, don't sweat the small stuff, make a batch of cookies just because..run around the house like an idiot and let your dog and cat chase you, scream...make sure your hair looks crazy at all times, hog the bed, eat desert before dinner...let god worry for you, bullshit your way through it..don't follow the crowd at all cost, smell the fresh air..tell the people that are in your way to move, and it doesn't even have to be polite..swear, who cares..don't let people get away with bad things just because it's easier not to call them out on it..and dont forget to smile through it all..

life is short..so just be..everything else stop giving a shti about..and everyone that doesn't matter give them a big fukc you!

Yes..I got a Christmas Tree!  Our old one I got right after we got married at Big Lots for like 15 bucks..it worked for our apartment living but its time for an upgrade!  So I found this one on Home Depot for $49 from $149!!  Free shipping too so I don't even have to go to the store..score.  its prelit too..double score.

ps - Happy Belated Thanksgiving...now its time for the Christmas madness!  I really need to start shopping, usually I start early..this year I've just been too busy or too lazy to go out and shop.  I am planning on running out later today after the rush of crazies go home after being out since midnight and Jake leaves for work..time to write my list!!

It's pretty sad that I hang out with my Husband through a police scanner more than I actually get to SEE him...

Poor Willy Bean is sleepin in Squibby's bed..guess we need to get him one for the Family Room too - maybe it'll keep him off our new sofas we are getting..hmm

the latest projects

The desk above is close to the desk Jake found at goodwill for...guess!?  $4.99!!!  I found this one online for over $500...huh?!  STEAL!  So we picked it up yesterday and I started priming it for a nice thick coat of black paint!  I also spent days giving some of my white furniture a new coat of paint and poly...so in between coats I online shopped...

I also online window shopped for stuff like a new sofa for our living room..tv hutch for our family room..curtains..blinds! AH!  There is so much stuff I need for this house..slowly it is all coming together..slowly..

we closed 10/14..at 11am!  Jake had to work the night before so when he got off in the morning we met at the house and did the final walk through..drove up to St Charles to get our closing $ and then headed to the closing close by at Chicago Title in Geneva.  We signed Im guessing about 50 or more pages of crap..waited..waited even more..poor Jake was up 24 hours now so I thought he was going to fall asleep on the table!  About 2.5 hours later it was over and the keys were finally given to us!  We pretty much ran out of there..and ran our asses to Sears to get a washer and dryer..and a new fridge (they had a great sale going on and got 25% off our entire purchase which saved us about 850 bucks!)

We moved in Sat (got all the carpets cleaned) and Sunday (got our washer and dryer!)..unpacked and cleaned a ton Mon and Tues..and Wed.  Jake worked last night so he pretty much slept all day today (our 6 year anniversary!) while I grocery shopped, cleaned more, unpacked more, put up some blinds..blah blah...Im at the point of sticking toothpicks in my eyelids to stay away and function.  Im beyond exhausted..my feet hurt so bad that when i stop moving they tingle - and Im pretty sure either cleaning supplies or some crazy face lotion made me look like I had pink eye for a few days, attractive I know.  So tonight Jake is back at work, Im listening to him on the police scanner/radio thingy he has..its kinda neat to hear all thats going on..and listening to him over the police scanner is pretty much the only time I spend with him when hes on midnights because he sleeps all day.  Lame.  

On top of wanting to sleep a whole day straight and no think about breaking down another box, cleaning, cleaning more, and everything else that sucks..now I have a housewarming party tomorrow!  Im excited for everyone to see what we have been struggling for 6 1/2 months to get...its been rough..and Im glad its o v e r.  Its kinda weird walking around and saying to myself 'your not moving in a year..you no longer rent..your are stuck in this place!' - its and odd feeling thinking about being here for years and years to come...weve moved SIX times in SIX years (now thats just wrong) so thinking about staying put in once place (that you OWN) is just crazy to me, almost a scary feeling..in a good but scary way... 

Well my to do list is enormous for this place..every wall needs to be painted. lots of blinds still need to go up, fireplace out, few fans need to be installed, wood floor eventually..fence..and the cleaning never end!  Im most excited to decorate..the decorating possibilities are endless, Ive unpacked a few decor things and put them around even though Im sure everything will move/change, but I just needed a little touch of something in this mess...

Now that we signed our lives away and bought a bunch of expensive stuff..Im in need of rest..lost of rest..like maybe lay in bed all day one day next week..luckily I only work Tues and Wed next week - took a bunch of days off and I am sure glad I did for this move!

Time to snuggle with Will and Squibs and listen to Officer Goss..
