yes..he passed his final interview!
so now he has a psych test and dr physical left..so keep praying please!!!! (hopefully this means we can start looking at houses soon too!!!)
oh a lighter note..im looking for new curtains for our master bedroom..the new duvet cover doesnt go with our current ones (which i still like but just dont go..) so its on to some new ones! i found some nice ones at jcp that are thermal backing/light blocking (both which ive been wanting for a long time and our current ones do not have) and they are on sale for 29 each, which is a little more than id like to spend so well see (luckily i got some bday money to spend though!)...of course the jcp in the mall didnt have the color i want, so im going to check the one in oswego this weekend for em! I still love my duvet cover and plan on getting the pillow cases to match..so when we are not using our down comforter/duvet cover in nice weather (which hopefully with be sooner than later!) i will still be able to enjoy the bird pattern somehow...
oh and ps...im pretty much obsessed with vampire diaries (a show on tv)..it was on tonight and i loved it!

i feel the earth quake(instead of shake..get it?!) under my feet...
Anyone else feel it?!
Scared the crap out of me and Squibby at 4am..(Jake and Will slept downstairs because i didnt want him to wake me up this morn since its my day off! ha)..the bed literally shook back and forth for a long time and everything on the walls were rattling(glad the huge mirror above my bed didnt fall on me)! It sounded like thunder rumbling but it was longer and louder..crazy! I even turned the news on right after and stayed up for about 25 min to see if what i felt wasnt just me(and my cat) who felt it..but i dont think the news works that fast! ha..they finally confirmed it when i woke back up at 6:45..very weird experience thats for sure!
oh and ps...if you have any extra good luck please send some our way for jakes dupage interview tomorrow! im going to be praying all night and day!

pottery barn wannabe!
Sooo i did it..i got the duvet cover from pottery barn i wanted! (scroll down and youll see a pic of it in a prev post!)
AND - I love it..unfortunately my Husband...does not (like i care!) - he said its grandma-ish! ha..but luckily i pretty much dont give a rats butt what anyone thinks of my taste/style in decorating my home so i proceeded to put it on our bed with a smile on my face anyways! so now both Willis and Squibby better not make any sudden moves near my duvet or theyll get their asses kicked!

the 'after'..and other junk..
Heres the infamous dresser..it was an ugly dark brown, plain and lame..so i decided to pain it white when i painted our coffee table. Well here she is, new paint, new cup pulls..and awesome!!!

FYI - dont ever buy knobs for anything that you have to drill new holes for..it is NEVER easy to get all the holes to be level..and im a LEVEL NAZI so now i have learned my lesson = buy knobs that fix existing holes or die!

AHHH)Oh and I got my 5 foot mirror hung over my couch that my parents got me for my birthday..looks gooood...ill post a pic of that along with the dresser..OH and my new vintage bird cage jake got me at pottery barn for my birthday that im in love with...
off to clean this mess since i dont have to work today YAYYY!!

Ok, my birthday is tomorrow and im not looking forward to getting older AT ALL!!!
getting older pretty much frightens me to the core..and no..dont bother saying 'oh jeez youre not that old quit complain'..because ill tell you to kiss my ass! when you were my age you were saying the same crap im saying! After turning about 24 i have been avoiding my birthday at all costs..its just not fun anymore being reminded that your a YEAR OLDER!! Not to mention that my last like..4 birthdays have sucked butt! So this year, i am going backwards..so tomorrow instead of turning 27..i will be turning 25 (that sounds sooooooo much better!)
Jake has his final interview with Dupage County (the one he reallly wants) so we are hoping, praying, swearing on our unborn child, betting on our lives...that if this doesnt happen for us already we will fall off the face of this earth and give up..yeah i know..a little dramatic..but weve had it and are at our wits end (like that on ma?) with all this cop stuff. And to top that, i found my dream home that i would have liked to buy like..yesterday - so im counting on this job happening because i want this house (or pretty much any house for that matter!)!! Were so tried of renting away A LOT of money...so well see...another wish on my list thats growing and growing and GROWING...AND GROWING..
I will be spending the day tomorrow with my mom, sis, and NIECE! Im hoping her youth rubs off on me! Dont know what were doing yet except taking rach to her doctors..and now that i dont want to spend any money because i want a house..i might have to just window shop tomorrow!
ps...anyone got some money i can 'borrow' for a house?! HAA (im laughing and crying at the same time...ugh..)

A baby? Maybe..?!
My niece will be here in just a few short days and i will finally be able to meet her after this very long wait!
Im pretty excited to be the aunt and let my sister do all the mom work..the aunt job seems just a little more appealing to me at this moment! I hope we can share many great memories together like tea parties..baking cookies..watching all those little kid movies i havent seen since my little brother (who is far from little now) was young...and shopping for toys of course! I hope i can share my love of animals with her and sit for hours watching all the animals at the zoo..making animal noises and eating all the ice cream we want!
I even went as far as painting my nails and showing my husband them saying "this is the color im gonna hold my niece with the first time"..yeah im lame like that..
Now hopefully my sister can hold this kid in until my mom gets one last night over at my house since once shes here, ill never see my mother again!

The movie The Hangover..stupid but funny..i laughed my ass off - and im always up for a good laugh.
My parents basement! I have found more 'pottery barn like' crap down there that would have cost me hundreds of dollars..and it was all freeeeeee!! I got the best metal buckets, shelves, containers, and other random stuff..next time im taking an old chair to recover and use as my computer desk chair and maybe a random piece of furniture/table/somethingoranother!
Sex and The City on On Demand! If nothing else is on...i am always up for some carrie, maranda, samantha and charlotte!
Food..all i want to do is eat, all the time..
All my Christmas gifts..especially all my equestrian stuff and my one of a kind horse stables painting from my mom! oh and i cant forget my horse photo that will be framed soon so wait for my show off pictures of that! ha

Acid reflux disease..its killing me and has been ruining my sleep too much lately!
The usual bills..
Getting older...ill be twenty-fing-seven at the end of this month..just thinking about it makes me want to cry. I hate getting older and feel like my life is going by wayyy too fast..makes me really sad..and this is why my husband can kiss my ass on the whole 'lets move' thing..i want to be by family as much as i can because life moves too fast and family is too important to skip over.

Oh and wanting to go to London and never going..boohoo..!
